Kentucky Rifle Buck & Ball Rifle Flintlock Converted to Percussion Circa 1800-1810
Description: SALE PENDING An antique Kentucky style buck & ball rifle that was originally a flintlock and then later converted to percussion. This rifle has a beautiful 3 pc. , patchbox, one small piece of brass is missing along the top edge. It has a beautiful eagle head finial and a lockplate that appears to be 1790-1800 period. Converted to half stock at an earlier date with a hand forged pewter nosecap. It has a beautiful and functional half round half octagon barrel with fine original sights. Barrel measures 42 1/4 inches. One piece brass trigger guard that is still pinned, no screws. Overall length is 57 1/4 inches. Bore measures about 60 caliber or 20 gauge.
