Also a letter form the Office of Smith and Wesson indicating a serial number of a similar model Rosewood grips with original finish 3 3/16th" barrel Popular with soldiers during Civil War and with individuals traveling West No marking on barrel - cylinder faint markings - patent dates-worn off Cylinder still "times" with cocking.
