169. Colt's Model of 1860 Martially marked Army Revolver, .44 caliber, 8" barrel with correct gain-twist rifling which is very very strong. Three screw model cut for shoulder stock. 'D' martial inspectors marks on barrel, back strap and cylinder. Very good full fitting walnut grips. Just traces of the cartouche borders are visible. All numbers match in the 132,XXX range. Made in 1863. Perhaps 10% of the cylinder scene is visible. Overall condition is very good with metal coloration a thin plum brown gray patina, nice barrel address, the 'PAT' on Colt's Patent is a trifle weak. Nice nipples with traces of the safety pins. Some holster muzzle wear on the right side. All in all a very decent example. Antique.
