Description:
Modeled after the famous English Howdah pistols, this reproduction was manufactured by Davide Pedersoli of Italy. The blued and polished barrels are 11-1/4" long, .58 caliber, rifled. The factory blue finish is as-new, with no obvious wear or handling marks. The barrel has a brass bead front sight and a flip-up blued steel rear sight. The barrels are stamped with factory markings, serial number (HP2578) and Italian proof marks. The barrels are fitted with factory blued steel 1/4x28 nipples. The bores are in pristine condition. The side plates and hammers are decorated with engraving. The pistol grip is fitted with a color case hardened butt cap with a scalloped design on the base. The blued steel ramrod is captured in a swivel yoke to prevent loss. The trigger guard is color case hardened to match the locks and butt cap. Double triggers. The walnut stock is finished to a satin luster and has a checkered grip and color case hardened iron furniture. This pistol has never been fired. There are some handling scratches and dents on the forearm of the stock but is in otherwise excellent condition. No box. The pistol weighs 5.07 lbs and has an overall length of 17.75 inches. Recommended load is 30 grains of 2F black powder with a .570 round ball and .010 patch. No FFL required.
