Description: This is a nice example of a Sharps Pepperbox in Caliber .30 Rimfire. Serial number 14372. Both sides of the frame are marked in a circular pattern. Right side "C. SHARPS & CO. PHILADA. PA." the left side "C SHARPS PATENT 1859". Overall condition is Fine with no barrel blue. Brass frame is mustered colored. The gutta percha grips are in very good condition, but for a tiny chip on bottom of the left grip. Bores are bright and shinny. Action works perfectly. Barrel length 3". The 4-barrel cluster slides forward for opening, The firing pin rotates as it should.Production of the Sharps 4 shot Pepperbox Pistols ended in 1874. A true gun of the Old West. It is associated with the gamblers, ladies of the evening, and as a hide-out gun of the outlaws and lawmen of the time. A great looking sharps. ANTIQUE CAN BE SHIPPED DIRECTLY TO YOU.
