MODEL NO. 1 - 3rd ISSUE - CAL. .22
Description:
Smith and Wesson Model No. 1 - 3rd issue - Cal. .22 RF - 3 3/16" Bbl. - 7 - shot - SN 128939 (1878-1880 approx.) - Absolutely perfect bore and action - perfect timing and lock-up - no play in the hinge. Metal is excellent overall - very slight spotting on the rear upper part of rib around hinge and some at rear of cylinder grooves. Retains 95% + original factory nickel. Rosewood grips are undamaged and retain 98% finish. This is an exceptionally crisp and all original S&W No. 1 in excellent or better condition. A very popular late 1800s pocket revolver, especially in the early West. Although some 131,000 were produced between 1868 and 1881, very few have survived the years. Difficult to find with this much condition.
