Description:
A beautifully crafted  percussion officers pistol, made by the well known firm of Williams & Powell of Liverpool, England. The  heavy smooth bore barrel is 6 & 1/2'', 58 caliber, blued and octogon shaped. The overall length of this fine weapon is 11 & 1/2". The hammer, lock, barrel, captive ramrod and trigger guard are all blued with a good 90% remaining. The full stocked nicely  dark grained walnut stock is checkered at the wrist and  has a custom shaped butt.  Most of the varnish finish remains. The lock is marked with the makers name ( hard to see in the pictures) and the top of the barrel is marked  "Liverpool". The hammer, lock, trigger guard and barrel tang are all engraved. There is a blank escutcheon (plate) at the top of the grip. The action is  good and the hammer holds at full and 1/2 cock. This firm worked in Liverpool, England from 1844 to 1892.

The wood and metal are in excellent condition. It would be hard to upgrade this one.
