Winchester
1890
Rifle 22 short
Description:
The action is crisp and snappy on this win model 90 rifle loads and ejects correctly. The rifle appears all original with 90 % thinning blue on 24 inch octogon barrel. Bore is bright and shiny as most are shot out as were used in shooting gallerys and carnivals in the early part of the 20th century. The reciver shows a blue brown patina as does the buttplate. The wood to metal fit is excellent and does show honest wear with its share of nicks and scratches of the last 102 years.. Notice in the picture of the loading tube has normal metal brown patina which is consistent with use.The wooden slide also show wear on one end may have been carried in a gun rack in a pickup truck so many years ago
where it rubbed on one end of wooden slide..the wood stock shows no cracks just a nice even wear through out..My opinion of this old rifle made in 1913 is an honest old rifle . That should give many more years of sevice.the rear sight appears original and is also dated. all serial numbers match 507,xxx ca 1913.........will require C&R or FFL to ship.........
sept 31 I loaded 3 rounds of 22 rim fire shells and fired off 2 rounds and ejected the last round every thing worked like its supposed to nice little rifle...........
SOLD
