Description: 26" O/U demi-bloc barrels of Roechling's Special steel, with copper-topped white front bead on full solid matted rib, choked improved cylinder & improved cylinder. 14 1/8"pull from single-selective trigger to Silvers red rubber recoil pad. 1 5/8" - 2 7/8" drop. Fully figured European walnut stock with Deeley-release 3-piece field forend with horn inlay at tip, fluted horn-capped pistol grip, skip-line point-pattern checkering with mullered borders flowing onto the buttstock, and nickel-silver initial oval. Casehardened, blitz action with double underbites, single Kersten lock, manual top tang safety, trigger-side selector, reinforcing bolsters, and automatic ejectors, engraved with 80% coverage Germanic scroll with oak leaf highlights surrounding game and dog scenes at rear portions of sideplates. Blued, scroll engraved trigger guard. Weight: 7lbs, 2oz. Built 1927. Very fine condition with 98% barrel blue and 40% casehardening colors. Excellent bores and tight action. SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
