Description:
A solid military pistol made by A. Waters as a Model 1836  in the Flintlock style and converted at the arsenal to a percussion action in 1867.  This pistol rates NRA " FINE". There are  no splits, cracks, bad gouges or wood missing in the walnut stock.   The action is strong, there is a front and rear sight, a captive type ramrod and clear lettering on the blued lock. The lock is marked: A. Waters, Milbury, Ms., 1867.. There are no cartouches evident, either there never were any or they were lost when the conversion took place. The left side of the  8 & 1/2"  .54 caliber barrel is marked: "U..S." "JH", "P", and a small"s" below that. The conversion was very neatly performed. This fine weapon  may have seen action prior to the American Civil War, during that war and also during the war with Mexico. A nice piece of history.

This is an antique so no FFL is required. It may be sent directly to the new owner.
There will  be a shipping charge
