This revolver appears to be an intermediate black powder SAA revolver manufactured for commercial sales in 1877,Barrel address is of the block letter style and the patent markings appear in three lines on the left side of the frame.45 CAL is marked on the grip frame just aft & above the trigger on the left side and the serial number is stamped onthe cylinder, a practice that was slowly abandoned on civilian revolvers during this period (1876-1890)One piece wood grips make this model a bit more desirable than the gutta percha grips, standard by 1888

The grips appear to have been refinished at one time and that varnish is flaking off revealing the original wood Bore Condition:
Strong rifling, a bit dark, but solid with a light pit here and there Barrels:
