Colt Police Positive .32 Colt caliber revolver. Barrel marked “B.32” manufactured approximately 1938. Gun has 99% blue. Bore and action are excellent. Grips are excellent. Note the B.32 marking on the barrel. The B.32 barrel mark is rare and up to some discussion as to what “B.32” means. There is some online forum discussion and atleast one book that says B.32 indicates a “Second Quality” Colt that was sold to foreign countries. Notably South America. These guns were called Pequeno models. We think this assertion that Colt would even make a second quality gun for foreign sales and market it that way doesn’t pass the sniff test and seems preposterous. The “Pequeno” (Correct spelling) model as most Colt collectors know exists and we are showing a genuine Pequeno (Not Pequano) box. The top of the box shows 17 countries where Colt has it’s registered trademarks. So, in conclusion we don’t buy the second grade Colt theory, we also are not readily buying the “B.32” as a mark for the Pequeno Police positives nor as a mark for “Second Grade”. We have not seen or heard what exactly is B.32 from a reliable or unimpeachable source. So, we don’t know what it means but if someone who really knows for sure what it is, please let us know. (No guesswork please!) Note: Pequeno box does not go with the gun. It is shown for information purpose only.
