Raphael 11 mm (.42 Caliber) Revolver. Bore is very good plus. Gun has approximately 90% plus blue. Action works perfectly. These very scarce revolvers were made by Perrin in France and were made on the Mangeot-Com-Blain Patent of 1854. U.S. records show that 106 were purchased from the George Raphael Company in September 1861. These metallic cartridge 6 shot revolvers would have been most week welcomed at the outset of the Civil War. We do not have specific records as to exact serial numbers issued to the Government but the excellent example speaks for itself.
