Description:
Colt Single Action Army SN145793; 45 cal.; blue finish; profusely engraved by a yet unidentified Master Engraver; this RARE blue & case black powder, factory engraved revolver was shipped to Hartley & Graham, New York on April 21, 1892; some original blue and case remains; OUTSTANDING Mother of Pearl Grips with carved Steer Head Motif; this gun has several non-standard features; it has the 45 marked on trigger guard, which was normally discontinued after 1890; the 45 Colt bbl. marking was obviously in the engravers way, so he engraved right over it and only a faint ‘4’ is visible; only six guns have surfaced with this style of engraving and only one other on that is in a East Texas Collection and is blue; four are nickel; all were shipped to Hartley and Graham; this one has the best quality and fullest coverage; THIS IS THE RAREST BLUE FACTORY ENGRAVED KNOWN and all the others have the transition antique cylinder pin release; antique, no FFL/C&R required for shipping;All items shipped fully insured Priority Mail- -Hand guns $30 --Long guns $45; Spurs (Texas residents please add 6.75% sales tax); return policy: three days inspection from the date the item is received; full refund of shipping both ways ONLY IF THE ITEM IS MISREPRESENTED.
