S&W First Model D.A. 44 Russian Made 1881
Description:
This is a first year production serial number 232 and was made in early 1881. The mechanical function is very good crisp and tight and the bore is about very good bright and shiny and only a slight amount of frosting. The grips are very good and no chips or cracks. All of the markings and numerals are sharp. No rust or pitting anywhere on the revolver. It has a 5” barrel. It retains 35% nickel but has over 65% blue on the trigger guard and hammer. The nickel didn’t stick to this very early one. John Wesley Hardin’s revolver was SN 352 and he was killed in 1895. More research should be done on this one. I would consider trades for pre 1899 ANTIQUE PISTOLS and rifles on any of my items.. WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO TRADE? Ask about our 30-90 day lay-away program. We accept Bank Check, Money order, Personal checks or wire transfer.
