Manhattan Navy, .36 Cal. Percussion
SOLD
Description:
Serial number 52106 Manhattan Navy, .36 caliber, Newark N.J. addressed and Patent Dated March 8, 1864. This 5-shot revolver has a smooth gray patina with fine grips that retain about 85% of their original varnish. The cylinder has very good traces of its original cylinder scene, very good bore and perfectly functioning action. An extremely popular revolver during the Civil War and a serious competitor to the Colt 1851 Navy and the long barreled ’49 Pocket Model. The Manhattan Navy was a rugged and well made gun just between the two Colts in size, and having the slightly smaller and more maneuverable size than the Navy Colt, but since it was the larger .36 caliber, a more lethal gun than the Colt 1849 series. Nice example of its type. PRICE: $1,450 We are Antique & Modern Firearms in Lexington, KY, dealer of fine firearms since 1974. PH. 859-276-1419 We Buy, Sell and Trade. Have a interesting Firearm or Firearms Collection to sell, let us know, we can buy or consignment sell it for you. (sales at am-firearms)
