#4674 Manhattan Navy, Series III, c,1863 (18XXX), 36caliber, Newark addressed.
Description: #4674 Manhattan Navy, Series III, c,1863 (18XXX), 36caliber, Newark addressed. Smooth mottled grey with VG grips that retain about 80% original varnish, good traces of cylinder scene, good bore and mechanics. An extremely popular revolver during the Civil War and a serious competitor to the Colt 1851 Navy and long barreled ’49 Pocket Model. The Manhattan Navy was a rugged well made gun just between the two Colts in size, and having the slightly smaller and more maneuverable size than the Navy Colt, but also being the larger 36caliber and a more lethal gun than the Colt 1849 series. VG as described. $1250 SOLD Antique: Yes |
