Nepperhan .31 caliber 5-shot revolver, serial #531. Barrel address is sharp and clear. Gun has no finish but is generally sharp with no pits or abuse of any kind. Grips are very good to excellent. Action works perfectly. Of the few Nepperhan we have sold, the finish seems to have been lightly applied and thins or fades easily, THUS no finish remaining on a pistol showing light use is of no surprise. These are seldom seen Civil War period revolvers. They were not used by the military but were commercially sold in competition with Colt and other manufacturers during the war. Note: Trigger guard is of brass and frame has removable side plate.
