Description: Colt, 1849, 31cal belt model, serial #24464 manufactured in 1851 the second year of production. all numbers matching including cylinder and wedge, cylinder scene is very clear, original blue turning to plum brown, uncommon 5" barrel, walnut grips with 80% original varnish. Very very nice. Manufactured in 1851, .31 caliber percussion, 5 shot single action revolver, with loading lever, Weight = 27 ounces Cylinder engraved with the Stagecoach Holdup scene Markings on barrel in one line - ADDRESS COL SAML COLT U.S. AMERICA This Civil War time period 49 is in fine condition with a bore that shows as mirror bright. I rate it a 10. There is no pitting on the cylinder, barrel and frame. The metal surface is smooth throughout. The mechanically perfect action is tight and correct. The trigger guard and back strap are well patina-ed. The original grips have no cracks. Overall condition fine. This is an ANTIQUE and can be shipped WORLD WIDE directly to you.
