Description:
#4904 Colt 1851 “Old Model” Navy, 36-caliber percussion with VG bore and action (the bore being about a “7” on a scale of 10), 150XXX serial range (1863). Overall it has a smooth grey patina, no cylinder scene is left aside of the serial number line, and it has VG original grips. The main drawback to this revolver is that it has had a dove-tailed front sight added somewhere in its lifetime, and that sight is now missing, The dovetail motise should be repaired or at the least, a replacement sight added back in that spot. Made in the height of the American Civil War, this Navy Colt was almost certain to have seen a LOT of combat in that terrible conflict. Aah yes, if it could only talk….. About VG as described. $1365
