Martial Lewis inspected Colt Single Action Army with Texas History. Made in 1875. Scarce gun being a Lewis inspected Marital Single Action. Nice sharp gun with a smooth brown to gray patina. Gun has all proper markings. Traces of the cartouche are visible on the left hand side and you can see the “L” on the bottom of the grip. Action works perfectly and locks up tight. Right hand side of the grip has an interesting mark that has been carved in long ago attributed to the Rafter O Ranch in Texas. There is a letter from L.C. Jackson of the famous Jackson Arms out of Dallas Texas dated 1960 where she explains the marking. Scarce gun to be an all original Lewis inspected gun and also to have a connection to Texas.
