Colt Early 3rd Model 1851 Navy
Description:
Listed below is a four digit third model 1851 Navy in untouched, as found condition. Gun has been used, well cared for and in the same family for at least a century and a half. This is an interesting variation with the loading lever rammer screw on the right side. Wedge is mismatched which is not unusual for the time. Grips are excellent showing little or no wear or varnish loss. Cylinder and barrel show about 60% blue drifting to plum. No rust no pits. Silver 90%+ on trigger guard and 70-80 % back strap. Cylinder scene is about 90% visible. A mechanically tight Navy manufactured in 1852 (S/N 9679).
