#4946
Colt S/A 7-1/2”x44WCF, 54XXX range (1880) with a fine bore, about a 8+ on a scale of 10 and having a tight smooth action with all the clicks on the hammer. The overall smooth deep dark plum-brown metal looks to have probably been lightly cleaned and “juiced up” with Cold Blue a long time ago but is very good crisp metal and basically butter smooth with no pitting except for some insignificant freckling. With the exception of the long gone CFSS etched barrel logo being worn off, it does have VG markings with a strong barrel address, serial numbers, and patent dates. Standard wood grips with medium wear overall and being slightly undersized to fit a smaller grip ….and on the right side it has a small pearl inset; on the left side grip it has a fairly well done “CLARK” carved up in the frame/TG junction (see photos). This is MUCH above the conditions of most of the Single Actions that are usually found priced in this same age and price range. A very handsome 1880 revolver!
VG+ $3495
