Colt Model 1861 Richards Mason Conversion
Description:
This is an original percussion serial range sent back to Colt for conversion to center fire cartridge. It also has British proof marks on the cylinder and barrel. The serial number is 33059 and is matching numbers including the assembly. The barrel and cylinder retain 55% dark blue and the trigger guard and back strap have 55% silver. The frame has 55% case color. The bore is very good bright and shiny with strong rifling and only a tiny bit of frosting in a few places. The mechanical function is very good crisp and tight. The wood grips are very good. This revolver was made in 1862 and was percussion. It was converted to cartridge after 1872. This is a very nice example of an 1861 Navy revolver. I would consider trades for pre 1899 ANTIQUE PISTOLS and rifles on any of my items.. WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO TRADE? Ask about our 30-90 day lay-away program. We accept Bank Check, Money order, Personal checks or wire transfer.
