Description:
Manufactured in 1855, this attractive pair of Colt Model 1849 Pockets were most likely engraved by Gustave Young (or in his shop). The serial numbers 109074 and 108867 are only 207 numbers apart. The guns are double cased in an excellent condition, period presentation case/box, with correct and original accessories. The guns themselves are in very fine original condition, but one cylinder might have been restored. This cased pair is pictured in R.L. Wilson's 2nd "Book of Colt Engraving". The guns are mechanically perfect, and all markings, including the Sam Colt signature on the barrels, are sharp and crisp. This is an exceptional pair of pre Civil War Colts. PRICE: $59,500 2% discount for cash or check payment. We are Antique & Modern Firearms in Lexington, KY, dealer of fine firearms since 1974. PH. 859-276-1419 We Buy, Sell and Trade.
