Guns by Sally-always the best for less. We are sure proud to offer this fine example of Colt's Bisley model chambered in 44 WCF. Being the only caliber to have a special name, Colt's Frontier Six Shooters have become very desirable. Combined with the Bisley Model designation, the barrel has more stampings on it than any other first generation wheel gun. Value and interest also jump because not many Bisleys were chambered in 44-40. The 4 3/4 inch gunfighter length barrel is the icing on the cake. Colt was smart to offer their revolvers in Winchester calibers, as cowboys loved to carry one ammunition for the two guns they carried. This particular Colt, made in the year of our Lord 1907, is in fairly good condition. The blue and case color is drifting to patina, and there is some light pitting. The bore is good, with considerable shine and distinct rifling. There are a few lightly rough patches, which may clean out. The grips are worn, but fit well. The action is crisp, with good lockup and indexing. The stampings are good, with a full circle around the prancing Colt trademark. Not bad for 110 years old. If you don't like this one, I see Cabelas West Chester just listed a very similar gun for 7500 dollars. I will start this one for less than half that amount. If you have been looking for the right Coly Bisley to collect or for investment, but want the added clout of a short barreled Frontier Six Shooter, then look no further.
