Colt Commemorative Series of Colt Frontier Scouts in 22 LR caliber, produced in 1960's when the Commemorative market was new and the value and resale potential was still a new era for Colt. All are embelished and have great care put into their fit and finish. They are all attractively cased in individual custom made wood fitted boxes with significants to their related item or event they were made to commemorate.
This set of 12 commemoratives is for the Kansas Fort Series, Kansas Trail Series, and Kansas Cowtown Series.
Included in the Fort Series is, 1969 Larned, 1970 Hayes, 1970 Riley and the 1971 Scott.

Serial numbers of all 12 guns begin with 203 with their respective letters following. All 12 issues were limited to only 500 or 501 produced of each one.
These commemoratives were exceptionally well cared for over the years and kept mostly in humidity controlled safe. All were almost never handled and if they were handled, owner wore cotton gloves to protect the guns. Therefore all guns retain close to factory new condition as can be expected for 45 year old commemoratives. All the wood boxes are in excellent condition with only a few minor storage or handling marks. The outer cardboard sleeve is on all the wooden boxes. All interiors and hinges are intact. Shipping cost is negotiable.
