Colt Detective Special FITZ , This detective special Fitz is a special order shipped in 1934 in a one gun order. Shipped to Shapleigh Hardware Company , St.Louis, Missouri July 18th 1934. The proper Colt Factory letter as you can see describes the Ser # 417,490 and all the other information about this piece. Note the words Cutaway Configuration , this is usually the only words that describe a Factory Fitz, but this special order also says 3 lb trigger pull and the regular hammer ( not the bobbed hammer). . This is a real Factory Fitz original and a seldom seen gun for sale.. It comes with The letter and the Fitz Book as well. Its the original 1930 published book by him. Its in great mechanical condition super bore and cylinder. Locks up tight, very nice grips, the usual holster wear and some cylinder edge wear.Probably carried buy a detective or police officer??
