Sold payment pending
NIB 4 inch Colt Diamondback .38. Manufactured in 1974. Comes with original box
and all paperwork is included.
This revolver is part of the Doug Sheldon collection some of which i will be posting here on GI.
Mr. Sheldon is the author of Colt's Super .38 "The Production History From 1929-1971"
and Colt's .38 Automatic Pistols " The production History of the Automatic Colt Pistol".
Mr. Sheldon is well respected in the Colt fraternity which adds provenance and value to this collectible Colt.
This revolver is unfired and just short of perfect as there is a small rub mark on the bottom of the trigger guard.
I had to get the perfect light reflection to get it to show up in the photo so it is very minor.
The gun is virtually unturned and there is no loss of blue in the cylinder latches
Box is in very nice condition with the end label fully intact. There is a minor tape repair on the inside
securing one of the flaps that are often missing from these model of Colt boxes...
