1933 Colt Official Police 4" . 38 cal
Description:
This one has an A side and a B side. The left side is 96-97% original condition with strong blue and just a couple of freckles, The rights side is the B side the rear 1/3 or the gun shows light freckling from behind the flash shield back not deep and from 3 feet it looks great, the freckles are also on the back strap on right side of the hammer. The gun was made in 1933 per the 583xxx serial number. the lock up and timing are excellent and tight. there is holster wear on the muzzle as shown. The checkering on the right grip panel is worn more than the left but they match and appear to be the original medallion grips. The gun was stored a bit dry in the original owners leather duty holster laying predominantly on its right side until i purchased it and we believe that is what caused the surface freckles. It was his carry gun as a Chicago Police officer for his entire career and at some point he had his initials engraved on the bottom of the trigger guard. Overall a nice official police at a great price
