Colt New Army & Navy Model Revolver
Description:
Serial #180781, .38 Colt, 6” barrel with a very good bore that has some dark spots of pitting along its length.
This is a 1902 manufactured, commercial model revolver that has 70-75% of the original blue finish remaining, and the balance having faded to bright gray along the high edges and bearing surfaces.
Some mild pinprick pitting is present on the right side of the frame where it meets the barrel and there are areas where the blue has worn to a mellow plum-brown patina as well (most noticeably on the rear of the sideplate and on the flat muzzle crown).
The gripstraps have faded to gray and the hammer and trigger retain much of their original bright nitre blue finish.
The checkered Colt “Daisy” hard rubber grips are in fine condition and exhibit only minor handling marks and small blemishes.
The revolver locks and times well and the mechanism is fully functional.
This is a very nice New Army & Navy, and rates very good plus condition overall.
