Offered here is a Colt Officers Model 38 Heavy Barrel from 1936. Included is the Colt Archives Letter that shows it being shipped to the Chief of Police for Newton, Kansas – Marshal R.D. McGinnis.
The Officers Model Targets – OMT’s were renowned for their accuracy and this model, with the Heavy Barrel makes it that much more stable. It is a wonderful firearm with some nice history. There is wear and markings commensurate with a properly taken care of 81 year old law enforcement firearm. Please view the photos here to evaluate the condition for yourself.
