Early 1st Issue Colt Officer's Model Revolver Excellent Condition
Description:
Serial #249366, .38 Special, 6" barrel with an excellent, bright bore.
This is a 1905-made revolver that has retained 95-97% of the original bright blue finish that has silvered slightly along some of the hard edges, as well as at the sides of the muzzle.
The cylinder has a thin turn-ring, and a single spot of finish loss between two of the flutes that has turned to a hazy gray color, but is smooth to the touch; without any discernible texture.
The target sights are original and the hammer and trigger retain nearly all of their original bright, fire blue.
The checkered walnut target grips are original and assembly numbered to the gun on the interior: “1996".
The lock-up is firm and the action functions flawlessly.
This is a truly handsome revolver that retains a fantastic amount of original finish and would make a stellar addition to any collection.
