Presentation Early Colt Single Action Army Pall Mall Addressed .45 Caliber Revolver. Made in 1877. Barrel measures 5 ½” in .45 Ely Short. This gun has a Pall Mall barrel address. Metal has a smooth brown patina and is reasonably sharp. Trigger guard has a “45 Cal/B” marking which we believe is traditionally for .45 Boxer guns. Back strap has a presentation marking, “Presented to/ R. C. H. Uhr Esq. P.M.” We have not been able to find any information on Mr. Uhr, but more research needs to be done. The right hand side grip is inlayed with a British Silver Coin. This gun comes with a letter confirming that it was shipped to London Agency with 56 other guns. Very interesting British Presentation Colt Single Action.
