Colt Single Action Army .38 Special revolver. Manufactured approximately 1928 Pre-War single action in .38 Special. Gun has 96% case colors. Gun has 96-98% original blue. Barrel and ejector housing have areas of minor pinpoint surface pits that are not detracting from the very fine overall appearance of the gun. This revolver is very unusual as it has the gun and the original factory cardboard shipping box to the dealer in Star, Texas. There is a letter from the hardware company in Goldthwaite, Texas informing a Mr. W.P. Stout that this revolver was sent to him as a replacement until the gun he wanted comes in. Very fine Pre-War 71/2” barrel .38 Special with both boxes, cleaning brush and dealer letter dated 1928.
