1873 Colt Single Action Army .45 SAA Silver Plated w/ Pearl Grips 7 1/2" Bbl First Generation 1908
Description:
*Selling from my private collection* M1873 Colt Single Action Army Revolver, Silver Plated with Pearl Grips, .45 cal, mfg. 1908 with 7 1/2" barrel. This is a fantastic looking Colt that is mechanically perfect. We've had scores of early Colt Single Actions over the years but I can't recall the last one that functioned as tight and crisp as this one. The gun retains 95% of an older professional Silver refinish with only minor flaking around the muzzle and face of the cylinder. The luster is just starting to turn dull in areas with small traces of black in protected areas. The pearl grips are from the period and have a brilliant luster with no cracks or chips. They are slightly undersized around the corners of the butt but fit very nicely overall and appear to have been with this gun for some time. All original and clean screws throughout, with original trigger, hammer, cylinder pin, ejector rod & spring, and full front sight. Matching serial numbers are visible on the frame, triggerguard, and backstrap. The serial numbers, caliber marking, patent dates, and barrel address are surprisingly sharp and clear to read. The action is strong and crisp, and the cylinder locks up incredibly tight with no play whatsoever. The bore is perfect with clean, bright rifling front to back. Overall just a handsome and clean first generation Colt! FFL or C&R required on post-1898 firearms. No sales of modern firearms or antique firearms that can fire modern ammunition to the state of California or California residents. No sales of modern firearms or antique firearms that can fire modern ammunition to any of the five counties of New York City or their residents.
