Description: FINE CONDITION BISLEY WITH GREAT FACTORY LETTER, .38-40, 4 3/4", THIS WAS PART OF COUNTRY SINGER HANK WILLIAMS, JR's COLLECTION AND THE COLT LETTER IS MADE OUT TO HIM AND DATED 1996, LETTERS SHOWS THIS REVOLVER AS SHIPPED TO SAMUEL HILL HARDWARE COMPANY, PRESCOTT, ARIZONA, ON MAY 28, 1906- THIS WAS STILL ARIZONA TERRITORY AS ARIZONA DIDN'T BECOME A STATE UNTIL 1912! There is quite a bit of interesting history on this establishment online. A really fine Bisley with tight mech. and bright excellent bore, fine blue on the cylinder showing thinning but good blue coverage with exc. blue in the flutes, cloudy silver/gray frame with wispy light case color on the sides and some good case color ahead of the cylinder, exc. screws, fine barrel and ejector housing blue with some gray on the high edges and a wide streak of gray from holster wear on the left side of the barrel, correct two line barrel address with exc. blue on the upper and lower sides of the barrel, good blue on the butt and more protected sides of the trigger guard, matching numbers, exc. screws and cylinder pin, grips are numbered to the gun and fit perfectly only showing normal holster wear mainly on the left lower center of the panel, a really great western gun shipped to Arizona which was very much still the Wild West in 1906!
