Engraved Colt SAA .45cal. Nickel Ivory Grips 1876
Description:
Very nice, early, New York engraved black powder Colt single action revolver, .45cal., nickel finish, and old ivory grips! As with all the early single action revolvers to be engraved, they were shipped to the large NY dealers such as, Hartley & Graham, Spies Kissam & Co., etc.... who would in turn have their own engravers such as L.D.Nimschke, and others, whom they employed at the time, to do the engraving. The gun retains most of an old period nickel finish, with most all of the engraving and factory markings still nice and clear. The mechanics are excellent, all 4 clicks present, the bore is very good to excellent as well. All matching serial #'s. This is a great looking, old indian wars period, Colt revolver, that is fresh to the market from a Colorado estate! This gun is priced to sell !! Please feel free to as questions, if desired.
