FINE Antique HOPKINS & ALLEN .32 Pocket Revolver
Description: FINE Antique HOPKINS & ALLEN .32 Pocket Revolver Similar Model & Same Maker of Merwin & Hulbert Revolvers Here we present an antique Hopkins & Allen .32 Double Action Revolver, made circa the late 1880s in Norwich, Connecticut. This pocket sized revolver has much in common with Merwin & Hulbert’s line of excellent revolvers, which were actually manufactured by Hopkins & Allen. The size and profile, grips and folding hammer are the same on both models. See the photos for a direct comparison of the two. The primary difference between the two is the loading and unloading of the revolvers. While the Merwin & Hulbert features its one-of-a-kind “pivot-and-pull” barrel and cylinder assembly, the Hopkins & Allen features the very successful Smith & Wesson style of top-break, auto-ejecting mechanism. The folding hammer is a neat little feature that keeps the spur out of the way, but leaves it accessible for single action use. Each of the folding hammer spurs is patent dated “Jan. 27”. Each revolver is of the same quality build. The overall condition is excellent. The original nickel finish is about 95%. Case colors are yet visible on the trigger. The markings are clear and legible. The original grips are very fine. The bore is sharp and shiny. The action is excellent and strong. These two revolvers would make a fantastic pair and illustrate how close the two companies were in their business relationship. Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction. Barrel is 3 inches. Caliber: .32 Centerfire Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE. Delivered directly to your door by express mail! Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $900 #5431 SOLD Antique: Yes |
