Colt Model 1909 Army Revolver
Description:
Serial #30063, .45 Colt, 5 1/2" barrel with a bright, fine bore that has some scattered spots of mild freckling within the grooves.
The metal surfaces of this 1911-made revolver retain 80-85% of an old reapplied dull blue finish which is toning to pewter in some spots, primarily the gripstraps, with several clusters of pinprick pitting and faint scratches scattered about; mostly on the rear of the frame.
The cylinder has a slight turn ring and a few pinprick pits here and there.
The smooth walnut grips are
not numbered and rate very good, as refinished with a few scattered handling marks and a repair along the rear left grip that has been neatly fixed.
The revolver has the "RAC" inspector's marking on the right side of the frame above the grip and the Rampant Colt in stylized “C” is still faintly visible.
The gun times and locks smartly.
This is a nicely refinished Colt 1909 Army revolver that would make a nice, shootable addition to a collection.
