Remington, Saw Handle Smoot Cal. .38 RF. NSN.
Description:
Inv. 6160
Remington, Saw Handle Smoot Cal. .38 RF. NSN.
Only 6000 ever made in .38 cal with the saw handle. And to top it off, it is extremely difficult to find a 1870s gun in this condition. It retains about 97-98% of the original nickle finish. The only loss is four small patches of light surface flaking.
Two on the cylinder and two on the barrel. The rest of the gun is perfection. The black Gutta Percha grips are almost perfection. There is one very slight surface scratch on the right panel near the screw and that's it.
The bore is outstanding, very bright with sharp rifling and just a hint of frosting. What a lovely addition to a collection of historic American guns.......$795.
