Smith & Wesson Second Model American
Description: A Second Model American, designed to fire the .44 Smith & Wesson cartridge, Serial # 26965 made in 1874.
This 2nd. American has about 80%+ of all the Original Nickel plating, with the majority of the loss on the cylinder, and the breech end of the barrel. This makes perfect sense because, this is where the firing blast exits... Black powder was corrosive. The Balance of this American revolver is very good, with a case color hammer all the unbuffed Original Nickel Plate present.
The gun Indexes, Ejects and Fires Perfectly. Crisp edges, and screws... All matching assembly number: Barrel, Cylinder, and Latch. Fine barrel markings, 8 out of 10 bore. The grips are numbered to another Smith & Wesson American. Overall, a very good example. This gun looks great, functions perfectly, and is a real eye catcher on display. Check out this price... 2,550.
