U.S. Army 1917 Revolver by Smith and Wesson
Description:
Serial #85405, .45 ACP, 5” barrel with an excellent, bright bore.
This is a splendid revolver that has matching numbers on the frame, barrel, cylinder, yoke, and extractor, and has retained 98-99% of the original dark blue finish that has some mild silvering at the muzzle, along the high and projecting edges, and a light turn-ring on the cylinder.
The hammer and trigger likewise retain most of their original color case-hardening with some silvering along the edges.
The smooth, unnumbered walnut grips are also in excellent condition with only a few minor handling marks and blemishes on either panel, and some minor marks at the butt.
The mechanics are excellent and the lock-up and timing are crisp and firm.
This is a fantastic military S&W that looks as though
