INCREDIBLY RARE TARGET SIGHTED 1899 FIRST MODEL .38 SPEC. H-E
Description: INCREDIBLY RARE TARGET SIGHTED 1899 FIRST MODEL .38 SPECIAL HAND EJECTOR, #1XXX! Unquestionably one of the most difficult to obtain target model S&Ws, this is the grandfather of the famed M&P model that later became the standard Model 10, a very difficult early side swing model to find even in standard fixed sight form, the target model is almost unheard of, in 30+ years of seeking out rare S&Ws I've only seen a very small few of these either in displays or for sale. This example was obviously used but cared for, 6 1/2" barrel, overall mostly a soft gray/brown patina with good blue in all the protected areas- like the cylinder flutes, around the cylinder latch etc., matching numbers on the barrel, cylinder and frame, early diamond checkered walnut grips fit perfectly but are not numbered to this gun, exc. mech, exc. bore, exc. screws and markings, truly an amazing S&W offering.
SOLD
