This is a rifled musket that was the largest bore issued in the war. Has percussion system. Has 1862 side plate, cannot see last number on barrel. Finish is now patina. All correct parts, wood, sights, ram rod. Action is fine. Slight sliver on both sides by barrel. Otherwise wood is solid, no cracks. Capt Dahlgren's brain child.
