Description: JAMESTOWN, NORTH CAROLINA PERC. HALF STOCK LONG RIFLE SIGNED S. H. WARD WITH ORIG. BAG AND HORN. Circa 1860’s. 57” o/a with 40” octagon .38 cal. rifled barrel signed “S.H. WARD, JAMESTOWN, N.C.” on the top flat. Brass mounts and maple stock and original hickory ramrod. Double set triggers. Old repair at wrist from period of use using handmade brass inlays. 100% original and very good overall with the original dark metal patina and the original stock finish. Lock in working order and excellent bore. Original leather rifle bag, mold and powder horn. From the estate of a WW2 Army General who was from North Carolina. Solomon H.
