Kentucky Rifle 45 Caliber Flintlock converted to Percussion
Description: Sale Pending A fine antique flintlock Kentucky rifle (Circa 1820) that was converted to percussion in the 1850-1860 period. Full stock maple with 9 brass inlays (4 diamond inlays along the forestock are missing) and a fine 2 piece patchbox with period engraving. Incised figural line carving on the buttstock and wrist. Original pipes, 1 piece cast brass trigger guard that is correctly pinned. Stock needs some restoration as well as the lock, hammer is missing. Barrel measures 43 3/8 inches.
