Wilmot Gun Co. Cape Gun, 12 Ga X 38/55 Winchester Combination
Description: This is an early 1890 cape gun with a great combination of caliber and gauge. The top of the rib is marked Royal Steel, which is a high strength Damascus. The shotgun should only be fired with Black Powder Shells. The 38/55 Winchester Cartridge is loaded for these early guns. The 28 inch barrels are very good with no dings or dents. The bores do show the effects of Black Powder, but they will clean up nicely. The rifle retains good lands and groves and should shoot well. The wood has the original oil finish. There are no cracks or splits. The butt plate is checkered iron. The double hammers are original and stand cocked nice and tight. The breech is very tight and the side locks fit the wood well. A fine old double combination gun. Buyer pays $30.00 shipping. Antique – no FFL required. If your state or area requires an FFL for antiques, buyer must provide one. Must be 21 years of age to purchase. Certified funds only. Three day inspection allowed if notification is given and item is returned UNALTERED, less shipping. No International sales - US only. Any weapon you plan to shoot should be inspected by a competent gun smith before firing. Please give us a call or email. SOLD Antique: Yes |
