10X Custom Rifles X-II Custom Stainless Benchrest .22 Rifle
SOLD
Description:
If you have been looking for a ready-made custom benchrest rifle that will flat out shoot this is it! It appears that no expense was spared when this rifle was built. It starts with a 10X Custom Rifles "X-II" action and bolt made in Dubois, Pa. The 10X brand is well known for building one of the best actions and bolts in rimfire benchrest parts. The 10X X-II action was mated with a Jewell BR trigger, the gold standard in benchrest triggers. The trigger is amazing and is adjustable to your preferences. The action was then fitted with a Pacific Tool and Gauge Company chrome-moly tapered recoil lug and a very unique reverse taper barrel. The barrel was custom built for the previous owner and does not have a name or model on it. As you can see in the pictures, the barrel starts with a smaller diameter at the receiver and tapers to a heavy barrel at the muzzle. This unique reverse taper has been proven to be very accurate. The barrel has a minty bright bore with sharp rifling, it does not appear to have been shot much. This whole set-up was then fitted to a top of the line laminated blue benchrest stock with an aluminum bedding block. We have been unable to find a maker's mark on the stock but it certainly appears to be high-end like the rest of this rifle. Shortly after having this custom rifle built the previous owner switched to semi-auto rimfire competition and quit tinkering with bolt action benchrest guns. To build this rifle yourself would cost at least double the listing price of $1195.
