Ball Civil War Carbine. The Ball carbine was one of the rarer breech loading civil war carbines with just 1,002 manufactured. These guns were made for the civil war, but did not make it into service before the war was over. These guns were made by E.G Lamson and company. This firm was originally Robbins and Lawrence before being purchased and renamed. This gun is in exceptional condition. The barrel has 99% of the original blue that has a slight plum tint. Excellent bright case colors are on Frame. Wood is excellent with sharp cartouche on the left hand side. Even the butt plate has nice case colors. Superb Ball carbine that would be hard to improve upon!
